OIT LAN ADS Support
OIT now offers the Microsoft critical updates including service pack 4 for Windows 2000 and service pack 2 for Windows XP through our on campus critical updates server. The server name is umaoitwsus.oit.ads.umass.edu System administrators who use an Active Directory tree can distribute critical updates using group policy. Inidividual users can use the local system policy editor to get the patches or just download a registry modification from OIT at: AutomaticUpdates.reg.
